United States Tactical Elite Rifle Retention System

The United States Tactical Elite Retention System (ERS) is an innovative hands-free carrying system designed to securely retain a long gun while keeping it readily accessible.

Unlike a conventional rifle sling, the ERS mounts the carried equipment directly to a compatible MOLLE platform, helping distribute weight across the user's load-bearing equipment while freeing both hands for other tasks.

The system uses a pivoting retention mechanism that allows the carried item to be positioned around the front of the body. With 12 locking positions, the user can select an appropriate carrying angle while maintaining positive control.

A free-moving position also allows the system to articulate naturally with the user's movement.

Designed for broad compatibility, the Elite Retention System was originally intended to accommodate a variety of long guns including AR and AK-pattern rifles, conventional rifles and shotguns, including configurations fitted with optics.

It was also promoted for use with compatible compound bows and crossbows.

A quick-release retention arrangement allows the carried equipment to be released when required, while the system's design helps keep the trigger guard covered when correctly fitted.

The ERS is also ambidextrous, allowing it to be configured around the user's preferred setup.

The main pivot, receiver and retaining components are manufactured from tough injection-moulded resin, providing a lightweight, weather-resistant construction suitable for demanding outdoor environments.
